I have played with most of the different freeware DMX PC Controllers. I have Light Factory that came with my enttek. And Manulator is the most promising I have seen so far. There is just one or two things I could suggest that would make it totally awesome.
1st suggestion is on the slider board at the top where the channels are numbered you can change those numbers to letters. Which is very convenient. But when you shut down the program you loose those. It would be nice to save them.
2nd suggestion. The integration with win amp is ok if you are making a specific playlist. But just a simple beat counter based on the audio output would be better. And the tap sync button.
3rd suggestion. Well at least a continuation of the second. assigning certain audio frequencies to a chase bank. This way certain lights will flash when peak sounds hit in this frequency range.
4th Suggestion make the chase banks so you can group chases together and the chase will randomize between the group.

If all these were together you could make a show that looked less planned but worked with the beat. These are ideas that are based on the Behringer Eurolight 2412 board. To bad I fried mine. I understand trying to do side projects while working is hard. I wish I could program. I have always found projects to fill my time from learning. Since you work on MasterPeace, I might want to mention. The Enttek OpenDMX USB does not work for me. I was excited about your project. Is there a fix for this?

I could not get to the file you listed.

I know somethings are hard. Thats why I just suggest them. I was thinking too bad there is not a way to tie in the lights with the visualizations. Actually the really neat thing is now we have RGB led lights that there is not a way to make a visualization that out puts to color channels. If you think of what visualizations can do you could automate band performances. The intensity would be amazing.

I hate to see the sound thing tied directly to Winamp. I would like to use it with my DJ software.

I want to thank anyone that is still working on these projects. Free work is what makes freeware great. I hope to donate to these causes in the near future.

Some of the audio to light features that you ask for are not very easy to add. I have been working in my last hollydays into manolator to add more channels and interfaces like in my masterpeace project.

Hello:

The idea of this project was to give the oportunity to learn something about dmx and so on, in the days that was really hard to find something to start with (for people that had no money but only interest to learn, I mean).

Now it is not so hard to find a cheap dmx interface and some free software to start with.

I hope some day this will also happens in laser world that is dominated by Pangolin and you cant access to their software if you dont pay a lot for a card. No money means you can not learn...

This was the same situation for the dmx world but now it is not.

Well, the link posted works for me. I can send you directly the file if you can not get it.

Be patient and try some free software as FreeStylerDmx that maybe is ok for you.
